Ruharo Mission Hospital- Ankole Diocese receives a new ambulance

On may 14th 2021, The Bishop of Ankole Diocese, Rt. Rev. Dr. Fred Sheldon Mwesigwa received and commissioned ambulance for Ruharo Mission Hospital. The ambulance was part of public-private partnership. The government of Uganda in fulfilment of its pledge for the ambulance to Ruharo Mission Hospital that was made years ago. It was particularly attached to the Eye department which serves clients in the East African region including Uganda, Rwanda, South Sudan and DRC. The Bishop appreciated government for the partnership and in particular thanked them for the ambulance. The Mbarara City Medical Superintendent who was among the government representatives said that the ambulance will come with trained driver and two other medical staff. He requested the hospital to keep the vehicle in good shape. The Bishop commissioned the ambulance and prayed for it and all the workers that will be involved in its operations. The Bishop also toured the ambulance which the doctors explained that it is a fully fledged hospital since the basic medication needed can be accessed.
