FATHERS’ UNION PROGRAM AREAS

Fathers’ Union delivers its mandate in 4 main program areas so far:-

Christian Parenting

The fundamental goal for Christian parents is to guide their children to a saving faith in Christ and set them on the path to maturity, bringing them to a full measure of His glory. Eph. 4:13
Parenting with Christian values aim at promotion of Christian values such as harmony, mutual respect, and sense of trust, accountability and good stewardship with focus on Christ centered families led by model Christian men.

Christian counseling

Marriage and family counseling.
We help the married Christians to improve their health relationships. This focuses on the navigation of spiritual concerns in everyday life struggles encountered by Christians and help the couples to know each other more. (Roles and responsibilities).

Men Fellowships

Men fellowships are meant to help men disciple men towards spiritual maturity and reclaiming their lives, families, and communities for the kingdom of God. Here men bear burdens of other men, get sharpened by other men, receive mentorship and Partner in ministry with other men. These are done through: Bible study, Accountability groups, Couple fellowships and Young married fellowships
Men are mobilized to spearhead the economic sustainability of their families, contribute to wellbeing of the church and participate in community development.

Paternalism

Train Fathers to be parents and young men to be fathers’ (responsible Fatherhood). Laying the foundation; Why marriage? To understand purpose of marriage-completing one another, multiplying a Godly legacy and mirroring God’s image.
Parenting Education promotes the use of positive parenting skills/practices and also encourages nurturing behavior, increase parents knowledge of child development and communication styles. Young generation is helped to understand roles and responsibilities of husband and wife in a Christian marriage. (Moving beyond cultural stereotypes).
