Bishop's pastoral visit to All Saints Rubeho COU in Katete Parish.
On 2nd Sep 2024, The Bishop of Ankole, The Rt. Rev. Assoc. Prof. Fred Sheldon Mwesigwa accompanied by the Diocesen Secretary paid a pastoral visit to All Saints Rubeho Sub Parish in Katete Parish for consecration service. The Bishop was received by the area Archdeacon Ven. Rev. Patrick Atuhaire, other Reverends, Layreaders, Christians of All Saints Rubeho Sub Parish.
The service began with the Bishop laying the foundation stone on the Church and consecrating it for ministry. During the sermon, Bishop Sheldon Mwesigwa sharing from Ezra 6:13-18 reminded the faithful that God has been with them in their service for God and building a Church that glorifies God. He reminded them how Israelites were building for God for the blessings He has given them like restoring them back to Jerusalem. He challenged Christian in response to many great things God has done to continue giving back to God things that glorify his name. He also called on Christians to build their bodies by believing in Jesus as their Lord and become temples of the Holy Spirit. 1 youth believed in Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.
In her speech, the Layreader Eunice Ekyatubiikire Ahimbisibwe welcomed and appreciated the Bishop for coming to consencrate All Saints Rubeho amidst his busy schedule. He further thanked Christians for standing with her to build the Kingdom of God.
During his remarks, Bishop Sheldon Mwesigwa thanked Christians for putting together resources to construct a magnificent church that glorifies God.
