Mbarara Municipal School stands tall as the national debating champions
On 28th August, 2024 Mbarara Municipal a Church School under Ankole Diocese made a historic win around the country.
Mbarara Municipal School proved its debating prowess by emerging as champions of the *2024 NATIONAL DEBATE CHAMPIONSHIP WHICH HAPPENED AT LIGHTRAY PRIMARY SCHOOL IN THE HEART OF GULU CITY FROM 26-28TH AUGUST,2024.*
The debate was a gruelling completion with 12 schools from across the country eyeing the prize. For two weeks, they battled with ten topics set before them. Each topic was a showcase of eloquence, and test of knowledge. The theme of the debate this year was *Young people in the achievement of SDG* .
As the debate unfolded, the participants from Mbarara Municipal surprised everyone with their eloquence, their knowledge, and their passion.
Where headboy Mastiko Divine of Mbarara Municipal School emerged the best debater and Mutamba Prize as the 4th debator in the country.
The best participants were awarded with a medals, certificates and the winning school which happens to be Mbarara Municipal School went home with a trophy.
