Yesterday, the Diocese of Ankole hosted Fathers’ Union Presidents, Fathers’ Union Coordinators, Fathers’ Union Secretaries from 9 Dioceses. These included: Ankole Diocese, South Ankole, Northwest Ankole, West Ankole,North Kigezi, Muhabura Diocese, Kigezi Diocese, Kinkizi Diocese, North Ankole diocese.

The meeting was officially opened by Rev Canon Abaasa the Diocesan Secretary Ankole Diocese and was graced by the Provincial President Mr Bakutana Samuel.

Rev Coleb Arinatwe the Diocesan Fathers’Union coordinator South Ankole diocese led the devotion.

The meeting was facilitated by Rev Adonia Kabangira and Lay Canon Isingoma the regional coordinators on Provincial Interim Committee who gave updates on the new constitution and highlighted on what is being done to streamline Fathers’ Union work.
Members later shared status reports from their Dioceses and made a way forward.

The members appreciated the Bishop of Ankole for hosting this memorable event which was the first of its kind.
